Check this Google Doodle!
Dedicated to Gideon Sundback (the inventor of the zipper) it’s one of those doodles the world won’t forget!

Belgian TNT Channel used this spot and I guess it’s really crazy, sheer genius!

Breaking news: Facebook shoots a nice picture!
Facebook is buying Instagram according to this post by Mark Zuckerberg.
This is an important milestone for Facebook because it’s the first time we’ve ever acquired a product and company with so many users. We don’t plan on doing many more of these, if any at all. But providing the best photo sharing experience is one reason why so many people love Facebook and we knew it would be worth bringing these two companies together.
Instagram, named iPhone app of the year in 2011, has compelled some 30 million iOS users to provide zillions of photos with some vintage, Polaroid-like filters available to photo-addicts.
It’s the first and greatest acquisition in Facebook history and should open the path to some other acquisitions of yummy startups, payment should be in cash and Facebook stocks – provided Facebook completes its IPO in the next month.
The deal should be closed by the end of June.
The Forbes article, obviously, asks where’s the revenue!
Today, Google’s Doodle is dedicated to Eadweard J. Muybridge, the english photographer.
It is an animation doodle: It shows a “Galloping horse” set to motion using single photos, 27 horses, some are colored like the Google logo.
Eadweard Muybridge is known for his pioneering work on animal locomotion which used multiple cameras to capture motion.
The Doodle based an an original sequence by Eadweard J. Muybridge.
Happy b’day Mr. Muybridge!
How will TV evolve?
How will social TV change all this?
ParisLemon says the future is iPad, its ability to watch a game and check all scores etc.
I say the future is somewhere in the Social TV zone, where social network and user engagement meet regular TV content.

Here we are: Pinterest, the new kid on the block has become the third competitor in the social network arena.
Experian’s “2012 Digital Marketer: Benchmark and Trend Report” says social networking has reached new highs, with 91 percent of adults using social media regularly as well as 15 percent of all U.S. Internet visits dedicated to social media sites in December 2011.
But, who’s really winning?
Pinterest, for example.
Just a few insights from the report:
– 91% of today’s online adults use social media regularly
– Revenue per email averages 2x higher for ‘Friends and Family’ campaigns
– 28% of smartphone owners watch video on their phone in a typical month
– Pinterest is now the 3rd most popular social networking site behind Facebook and Twitter
Pinterest surprised many last December when it was revealed as a top 10 social network. The new Experian report says Pinterest’s traffic surged 50 percent between February and January of this year, which is growth that’s stunning in itself.
That surge has allowed the site to overtake services like Tumblr, LinkedIn, and Google+ for the third highest number of visits in February.
And not only is it fun for users, it’s also a killer tool for marketers as Mashable recently reported on how brands are marketing on this new-whiz social network.

This is how Twitter promotes itself and explains the (good) reasons why (even) a small business should use Twitter to reach new customers, to talk with them and spread the word about their products/services.
The video exploits the recipe metaphor while talking about tweeting good practices and the way that Small Business should leverage Twitter to expand their horizons.

A nice post by KissMetrics about social-, and -web, analytics tool that help marketers plan and report strategies and campaigns effectively.

And we all also know that a good digital marketing strategy must be measured and monitored with analytics.
This post will give a few (but pretty good) hints and some nice advice for any social media addict and digital advertiser!

This infographic from FreeDating UK shows how much dating has changed recently – and how much is social media involved!
How much is true (or a bunch of lies) in all social relationships sparkling around the ‘net (growing and… failing)?
Here’s a nice approach at showing how different women and men see things about love & sex.
Think of it as a “Sex and the Net“.
